First off, I apologize for this not being sent out at the beginning of the month….all I can say is this summer is BUSY!!
*Just a few updates… May 22nd was our Couple’s Derby. 10 couples played with Bill and Terry Heirchert and Jim and Marie Donohue as winners, so congratulations to them!! The Hallock Tournament on June 12th was a success. The rain tried to push golfers out, but tournament players stuck it out and everyone had a good time! June 19th was our Men’s Open, which was also a nice day and Kieran Huber won the championship round, with Shawn Skinner placing 2nd.
*Other upcoming events, for June is the Football Tournament on June 26th, which is a four person scramble. Call the clubhouse if you want further details. Also, JUNIOR GOLF has started. Kids meet at the club on Tuesday mornings from 9 am – 11 am. Junior golf will be every Tuesday in June and will take place a few Tuesdays in July. I would personally like to thank Connie Humble for coaching junior golf this year!!
*July activities include our 4th of July celebration, taking place on Saturday, July 3rd. There will be a 2:00 scramble, BBQ, and fireworks, all taking place that evening. July 17th is the Couple’s Heart of the West Tournament. The 24th and 25th of July is the Newell Men’s Invite-A-Guest and the 31st is the Vale Fire Department Golf Tourney. Questions about any of these tournaments? Call the clubhouse, and we will try to answer them!
*A notice to everyone….PLEASE stay on the cart paths, when you are out golfing!! If everyone stays on the paths, the course will look a lot better. In the case of someone being handicapped or not being able to walk that far…contact a board member, so they can get you a flag.
*Rocks left are ½ rock on Men’s #5 for $278.00 and a whole rock on Women’s #5 for $556.00. Contact the clubhouse or a board member if you are interested in purchasing one of these rocks.
*For your information---we will be selling fireworks again at the clubhouse. We will start selling them on June 27th and finish on July 5th. We have a great selection and discounted prices, so spread the word!
